Well, here I am again. Just to update you on what we have planned this year for iAV19. As always there is so much to include in a single day. So I’m going to try and apply the AVCF mantra of quality over quantity. Deliver our ‘people not boxes’ message, emphasise the Cultural/creative  side of our mission as well as combining some practical themes from our AV world.

So, to Business.

FIRST SPEAKER

I have great pleasure in announcing our first speaker for the event, Glenn Cumiskey, who is the Digital Archive Resource Manager at The British Museum. I worked with Glenn on several projects to preserve analogue video and film in the museum’s collection and gained a real insight to his specialist world by attending several events where he was contributor and keynote speaker.

There’s more to it than dusty files. Enter the intriguing domain of ‘Digital Natives’ and ‘Deep Archive’.

It left me feeling like Alice after she went down the rabbit hole!
